Your questions

Another question? Email admissions@lft.ca.

How can we support our child with their homework, and could this be a disadvantage for them?

This is not a concern. Our teachers remain fully available to support each student directly. Children are encouraged and welcome to ask questions whenever needed, so a lack of French spoken at home does not place them at a disadvantage.

Does my child need to speak French already?

Not in Kindergarten: no French is required in Pre-K, JK and SK. From Grade 1 onwards, proficiency in French is required for admission. Our Admissions team can review your situation during the visit.

How does the visit work?

Choose one of three slots: 9:30, 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. Each visit lasts one hour, with a student ambassador: classrooms, teachers, sports and activities, and time with our Admissions team.

Will classes be in session?

No, the Open House takes place on a Saturday, with no classes. Our student ambassadors and teachers will show you the classrooms and school life.

Can I bring my child, or come with several people?

Yes. One registration covers the whole family, however many of you come.

Is the tour available in English?

Yes. Tours are available in English or French.

What if I can no longer come?

Let our Admissions team know at admissions@lft.ca to free up your spot. You can arrange a private tour on another date.

Can I apply after the visit?

Yes. Applications are submitted online. For September 2027, make sure to apply before the December 15, 2026 deadline.
